BULLS BAY RODEO

Bulls Bay Golf Club never does anything halfway, and when they decided to host a Rodeo around “The Hootie”, a men’s collegiate golf tournament, there was no cutting any corners.  In 2022, the first year of the event, the bar was set pretty high. Their second year, 2023, to elevate that bar meant taking their sponsor signage and brand packages up a notch. This is where Brand Asset Partners stepped in. Their initiatives weren’t broken at all…BAP was just there to help elevate and simplify the process.  

CHALLENGE

Because some event spaces tend to be a temporary structure, like this, that are built from the ground up for a single event, typically the measurements tend to be more “guesstimates” when they are submitted versus exact measurements.  Throw in the fact that this event was going to be outdoors it brings a whole new set of elements that need to be addressed when building out assets. Lastly, sponsors make the event happen, without their support the event wouldn’t be as successful. And with sponsors comes signage and sometimes that is right up to the 11th hour. 

SOLUTION

If anything, the Challenges for this project are pretty standard and nothing the BAP Team hasn’t addressed previously.  Understanding what the Challenges are and what to expert is where BAP excels. When we start the planning process it is those Challenges that simply lead us down the path to success. 

The internal BAP Event Design Team has no problem identifying materials, fabrics, and substrates that will withstand the elements, mother nature's finest and knows how to exceed sponsor expectations by over engineering and over delivering…it’s what we do.  For this project, knowing how each sign was going to be installed, hung, utilized was incredibly important. Vinyl banners were to be hung on the Chute Gates, Sponsor Signs went up on the railings inside the arena and entrance flags going vertical were all different elements that needed to be carefully thought out prior to production.  

The BAP Team had a lot of fun bringing everything to life here and taking an open field on a ranch and helping bring an event to life.  The Bulls Bay team was extremely organized, well versed at what they were doing and with their vision our work was the icing on the cake.
